Christianity in (South) Sudan: Historical backgrounds, contemporary contestations, and future directions

Abstract: Christianity has played an integral part of Sudanese life through colonialism, postcolonialism, civil wars, and secession. Through it all, writers from a variety of disciplinary and denominational backgrounds have recorded the diverse experiences of Christian individuals and organizations.
