Chronic cough in postmenopausal women and its associations to climacteric symptoms

Abstract: BackgroundPostmenopausal women often have chronic cough, which is likely caused by hormonal changes affecting lung function and the mucous membrane of the airways, causing hypersensitivity of the cough reflex.
