Abstract: Chronic interstitial nephritis in agricultural communities (CINAC) is an epidemic of kidney disease affecting specific tropical and subtropical regions worldwide and is characterized by progressive chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the absence of traditional risk factors such as hypertension and diabetes.
