Chronic kidney disease of unknown aetiology in Sri Lanka: is cadmium a likely cause?

Abstract: BackgroundThe rising prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and subsequent end stage renal failure necessitating renal replacement therapy has profound consequences for affected individuals and health care resources.
