Chronic Salmonella Osteomyelitis in a Healthy, Immunocompetent Man

Abstract: Case: A 26-year-old healthcare professional presented with knee pain and was found to have Salmonella osteomyelitis of the distal femur. Two operations, including antibiotic bead placement followed by a 6-week course of oral ciprofloxacin, were successful in eradicating the infection.
