Chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention: The Latin American experience

Abstract: Key Points The role of chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains to be clarified. The authors describe their experience with CTO PCI in Latin America. Success and complication rates were similar to those reported in other large CTO registries. We welcome reports such as this that assist our group efforts in determining which patients benefit the most from CTO PCI and how we can best increase success rates while minimizing complications.
