Invasion of Prosopis juliflora (Sw.) DC as perceived by farmers in the Moxotó Irrigated Perimeter, Pernambuco – Brazil

“…Therefore, among the positive impacts caused by P. juliflora that be significantly greater in terms of the local population's income are the pods as a fodder resource for cattle herds in times of prolonged dry periods. This result was similar to that found by Santos et al (2020) in the vicinity of the area where this study was conducted, more specifically in the Riacho do Navio stream, Floresta, Pernambuco, who found, through environmental perception techniques, that P. juliflora was a source of food for animals, shading of areas, production of firewood and charcoal for their purposes and sale.…”
