“…Up to now, specific studies on soybean circadian rhythm have been limited, but they can be dated back to the 1950s (Bunning, 1954;Brest, 1970). In those days, it has already been discovered that the circadian movement of trifoliate leaves of soybean, as measured with a kymograph, could last for two weeks after shifting to continuous light in a roughly 24-h fashion relying on the internal clock (Brest, 1970). A much more recent study examined the circadian fluctuations of chlorophyll contents using non-destructive multispectral imaging under drought conditions (Pan et al, 2015).…”
