“…The complex of Sm III and the 2‐hydroxyisophthalamide B is the third example of a samarium complex for which g lum values were reported (−0.027 for 4 G 5/2 → 6 H 5/2 and −0.028 for 4 G 5/2 → 6 H 7/2 ) . In the case of the complex consisting of the disuccinate edds and Sm III only for the 4 G 5/2 → 6 H 7/2 transition (which is typically more luminescent) a g lum value (+0.066) could be reported . Interestingly, in two of these four examples, for the 4 G 5/2 → 6 H 5/2 and the 4 G 5/2 → 6 H 7/2 transitions identical g lum values were reported, though according to Richardson's classification one would expect the dissymmetry factor to be considerably higher in the case of the 4 G 5/2 → 6 H 5/2 transition.…”

“…Samarium(III) cryptates containing bipyridine fragments show g lum around 0.13 and a good value of the luminescence emission quantum yield (0.26%) in deuterated MeOH . Finally, it is interesting to note that samarium(III) complexes containing the ethylenediamine backbone show similar g lum values (in the 0.03–0.06 range, around 560 nm) regardless of the chromophoric groups. , The chiroptical performance of our complexes containing the chiral cyclohexanediamine backbone (see the g lum values in Table ) is in line with those recorded for the aforementioned complexes containing similar diamine backbones.…”

“…To the best of our knowledge, to date, only a few samarium complexes were described to exhibit CPL in solution. 13 , 20 26 In all cases, in order to mitigate the multiphonon relaxation process negatively affecting the luminescence emission efficiency, the donor atoms should not bear any H atoms.…”
