Circulating Y-RNAs, a predicted function controlling the Immune System, Cell Signaling, and DNA Replication in Pediatric Patients with Pilocytic and Diffuse Astrocytoma
Abstract:Background. Y-RNAs are small noncoding RNAs firstly identified in patients suffering the Sjögren’s syndrome and lupus erythematosus, having different predicted cellular functions. In this work, circulating Y-RNAs were detected in blood serum from pediatric patients with pilocytic or diffuse astrocytoma, by means of the HTA 2.0 arrays. In addition, a bioinformatic approximation of the possible biological functions of Y-RNAs was determined with the “Random Forest” and “Vector Support Machine” algorithms. Results… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
