Clarifying the chemical reactions of the weakening of adhesion between epoxy resin and aluminum by molecular dynamic simulation and experiment

Abstract: In molecular dynamics simulation, the cross-linked epoxy resin model can well simulate the performance of epoxy resin in actual use. We have established a cross-linked epoxy resin model and a composite model of epoxy resin and aluminum at the molecular level. Based on ReaxFF, the reaction molecular dynamics simulation of pyrolysis aging was carried out by Lammps. The aged epoxy resin is decomposed into H2, CO, H2O, CO2, CH4 and CH2O.
