Clarifying the identity of the Uruguayan meadow katydid Conocephalus doryphorus (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Conocephalini)

Abstract: Conocephalus doryphorus (Karny, 1907), a member of the lesser meadow katydids, with around 150 recognized species in this genus with worldwide distribution, and around 25 of them living in South America, has been described from a unique immature female from an unknown locality in Uruguay.
