Classic flaws in clinical CAM research

Abstract

Frequently, CAM research is less than rigorous. This has, of course, many causes. For this review, I have selected a few ‘classic flaws’ of CAM research, which, in my experience, occur regularly and have the potential to mislead us. My hope is that this selection will help the reader to avoid the mistakes I and others have made in the past and, ultimately, will contribute to improvements in CAM research.
