Abstract:In recent times, iron oxide based magnetic nanoparticles (mainly magnetite (Fe 3 O 4 ) or maghemite (γ-Fe 2 O 3 )) as well as clay and clay based composites, have become very important in the elimination of persistent organic compounds from waste water systems.
