Clay Ceramic Waste as Pozzolan Constituent in Cement for Structural Concrete

Abstract: Ceramic-based wastes generated from different industrial activities have increasingly been reused as construction material incorporated into concrete. In general, these wastes just replace common concrete aggregates such as sand and gravel. In the present work, waste from clay brick industries composted of kaolinite minerals were for the first time evaluated for their potential to be reused as the pozzolan constituent of a cement for structural concrete. Initial standard testes revealed that the clay ceramic w… Show more

“…The objective of the IR 4.0-based strategy is the digitalization of the production industry, concentrating on establishing intelligent factories with manufactured goods and services interlinked through the internet of things and services [23,24]. IR 4.0 promotes the design of devices capable of developing experience over time, having intercommunication with each other, and making decisions, ultimately leading to self-optimization of the whole manufacturing process [25].…”

“…Physical activity can improve and maintain health parameters, but the optimal mode, intensity, frequency, and physical activity's duration have not been determined [33,34]. Further, previous research has clearly shown that health is a permanent constraint and influence activity-travel participation and travel parameters [16,35,36]. However, the previous research rarely investigated the influence of participation in a different set of activity and travel engagement and travel parameters on a given day on health parameters, primarily physical and social health [28,31,32].…”

“…This lateral restraint can be provided externally using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP). Numerous features affect the confinement pressure, such as ties spacing/the distance of the connections, yield strength/flow resistance of the longitudinal bar, the longitudinal bar’s size, and the nature of transverse reinforcement [ 31 , 32 , 33 , 34 , 35 ].…”
