Abstract: Abstract. From the latest Cretaceous (late Campanian to Maastrichtian, ~ 76−66 Ma) through the earliest Paleogene, a fluctuating greenhouse climate prevailed and climatic changes were linked to catastrophic geological events and massive biotic extinction.
