Click Synthesis of Novel 3‐(2‐(2,4,5‐Triphenyl‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)ethyl)‐1H‐indoles Catalyzed by Glacial Acetic Acid and their Antibacterial Evaluation

Abstract: In this communication, we wish to report a click, simple and efficient one‐pot four component synthesis of a new series of 3‐(2‐(2,4,5‐triphenyl‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)ethyl)‐1H‐indoles using catalytic quantity of acetic acid. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their in‐vitro antibacterial activity against gram‐positive (Staphylococcus aureus) and gram‐negative (Escherichia coli) bacteria.
