“…This work covers the temperature observations in the atmospheric boundary layer over the Siberia territory for the period from 1981 to 2020. As the source material, as in 17,18 , we used the data of long-term (1981-2020) two-time (00 and 12 hours GMT) radiosonde observations (http://www.weather.uwyo.edu/) of 24 aerological stations located in different latitudinal zones of the Siberian region. Western Siberia is represented by 10 stations: Dikson (polar latitudes (70-75N)); Salekhard, Turukhansk, Aleksandrovskoe, Bor (subpolar latitudes (60-70N)); Verhnee Dubrovo, Tobolsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Yeniseisk (temperate latitudes (50-60N)).…”

“…The air temperature regime has been well studied near the earth's surface [11][12][13] and in the free atmosphere [14][15][16] . The vertical structure of meteorological fields, in particular air temperature, is less studied in the atmospheric boundary layer 17,18 , especially for such vast region with a rare network of aerological observations, as Siberia. In addition, in the current conditions of global warming 16,[19][20][21] , there is a need to reassess the characteristics of the ABL temperature both at the global and regional levels taking into account the latest data 13 .…”

“…Therefore, there is a need to obtain statistical characteristics taking into account modern data, and especially for the atmospheric boundary layer, where up to 50% of the total mass of water vapor is contained, while there is 98-99% in the troposphere 16,17 . In previous works on the study of air humidity fields in the atmospheric boundary layer, the analysis was carried out for Western Siberia according to the data of 8 aerological stations for the period from 2001 to 2007 18 , and for Eastern Siberia according to the data of 8 stations for the period 2001-2010 19 .…”
