“…The necks of these patients can be constructed with a wide range of surgical techniques, including not only conventional pedicled skin flaps and free flaps but also perforator flaps, 1,2 supercharged flaps, 3,4 preexpanded flaps, 5,6 chimeric flaps, 7,8 and "superthin" flaps. 9,10 Of the various flap techniques that are available, the supraclavicular flap is excellent in terms of its match with the color and texture of the recipient area and the simplicity of the operative procedure. The supraclavicular flap was reported for the first time in 1979 by Lamberty,11 after which Pallua and Machens 12 reported in 1997 that they had used this flap successfully in eight cases of neck contracture reconstruction.…”
