Clinical Applications for the Use of Enzymatic Debriding Ointment and Broad-Spectrum Bacteriostatic Foam Dressing

Abstract: The optimal management of a chronic, nonhealing wound is challenging to experienced and novice clinicians alike. Treatment must be individualized, but principles of wound bed preparation, including debridement of necrotic tissue, maintenance of moisture in the wound, and prevention of bacterial overgrowth, guide the management of nonhealing wounds caused by a variety of different etiologies.
