Abstract: Generally pituitary tumors have a benign growth, however, there are difficulties in diagnosis and treatment because of non-specific symptoms and the inability to predict the tumor growth. In clinical practice a hormonal activity of tumors has the significant role. To a greater extent, pituitary adenomas are prolactinomas, but the hypersecretion of prolactin could be combined with an excessive production of somatotropic hormone.
