Background and study aim:The global spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus imposes an enormous burden on medical health systems.The aim of this study was to detect the predictors of ICU admission in COVID 19 patients.
Patients and Methods: This was a retrospective study on patients files involving 258 patients with COVID 19. Patients were classified to Group I: Included 186 patients who need ICU care. Then classified into two subgroups Group Ia 134 patient needed mechanical ventilation, Group Ib: Includes 52 patients did not need mechanical ventilation Group II: include72 patient who did not need ICU. All patients subjected to full history taking, clinical examination, O2 saturation, complete blood count, liver and renal function tests, lipid profile inflammatory markers electrolytes, and imaging study.
