Abstract: Background and ObjectivesZZDespite aggressive medical therapy and previous endoscopic sinus surgery, there are a subset of patients suffering from recalcitrant, persistent chronic isolated maxillary sinusitis which results from impaired mucocilliary clearance caused by longstanding inflammation.
