“…Moral Case Deliberation (MCD) has been described as healthcare professionals’ collective moral reasoning, led by a facilitator, on a concrete moral question from their practice (Molewijk, Abma, et al, ). Concretely, a MCD meeting often lasts 45–90 min and the facilitator does not serve as an expert of what should be done but instead has a responsibility that all participants are given opportunity to take part in the dialogue and that there is a focus on the moral dimensions of the question discussed and help the group to plan how the lessons learned during the meeting can be used in patient care (Molewijk, Slowther, & Aulisio, ). Dutch MCD has its theoretical background in hermeneutics ethics which is manifested in the use of cases from the participants own practice and where the reflections on the case enlarge the participants perspectives (Molewijk, Abma, et al, ).…”

[2][3][4][5] MCD is a group dialogue in which professionals (sometimes with patients and family) jointly investigate a moral question that emerges out of a situation they experienced in their daily practice, by reflecting on relevant values and norms from different perspectives and on possible solutions.…”
