Clinical Features of Vitiligo and Social Impact on Quality of Life

Abstract: Vitiligo is the most common cause of depigmentation and its estimated worldwide prevalence ranges from 0.5% to 2%. The disease is characterized by the development of white macules resulting from a loss of epidermal melanocytes. The term vitiligo (nonsegmental) is now a consensus umbrella term for all forms of generalized vitiligo.
