Clinical implications and perspectives of portal venous circulating tumor cells in pancreatic cancer

Abstract: Despite recent improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer (PC), clinical outcomes remain dismal. Moreover, there are no effective prognostic or predictive biomarkers or options beyond carbohydrate antigen 19-9 for personalized and precise treatment.
