Clinical indications for digital volume tomography in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Abstract: Digital volume tomography (DVT, NewTom, NewTom AG, Marburg, Germany) is a novel technique for maxillofacial imaging at a lower radiation dose and lower cost than CT. We describe four clinical cases to illustrate its potential advantages.
