“…This is consistent with the study in Iran by Kianersi 6 where 96% of patients complained of diminution of vision and 13.47% of floaters. Ten of our patients (33.5%) had signs and symptoms of vitritis, 2 (6.5%) anterior uveitis.…”

“…Signs and symptoms of anterior uveitis may coexist in patient with posterior uveitis secondary to ocular toxoplasmosis. Eighty three percent (83.3%) of the lesion was uniocular and 16.7% binocular as seen in many other studies 6,7 . Most of the lesion 15(48.4%) affected the posterior pole as seen in other studies 7,9 .…”

“…As shown in our study, out of a total of 80 eyes with ocular toxoplasmosis with SD-OCT examinations, 6 eyes were present with CME. Although with the application of SD-OCT, more eyes with CME probably could have been detected, our study had shown that CME is still rather uncommon [14] , [15] , [16] .…”

“…FA has been the traditional gold standard for the detection of CME in the past years; however, with the advent of OCT, more CME could be possibly observed with better reproducibility [8], [13]. Although CME in ocular toxoplasmosis was reported in previous publications, none of them evaluated CME with SD-OCT [14], [15], [16]. Thus, in the current study, we tried to use SD-OCT to maximize the detection of CME.…”
