Clinical Profile of Patients with Thyroid Nodules Subjected for Ultrasonography

Abstract: Background: Hashimoto's thyroiditis cannot be distinguished from those of multinodular goitre (MNG). Basically the thyroid is enlarged bilaterally with an uneven parenchymal pattern mainly showing decrease in the normal echogenicity. The ultrasound appearance of Hashimoto's thytoiditis is that of a diffuse glandular enlargement with irregular lobulated margins.
