Abstract:Background: Bacterial aggregation has been well described to occur in synovial fluid, but it is unknown if bacteria form aggregates in body fluids beyond the synovial fluid. Consequently, this translational study evaluated the ability to form bacterial aggregates in different pleural fluids.
