CLINICAL ROLE OF miRNA BIOMARKERS IN LARYNGEAL SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA (LSCC): LITERATURE REVIEW
Barbara Rusinowska,
Balbina Tybulczuk
Abstract:IntroductionMalignant transformations may result from gene dysregulation caused by genetic and epigenetic modifications. The use of miRNAs to treat cancer depends on the downregulation or upregulation of the miRNAs responsible for carcinogenesis (proliferation, angiogenesis, invasion, metastasis), providing the opportunity to suppress tumors. The purpose of this review is to list miRNAs identified so far as biomarkers in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). This listing may help in predicting the evolutio… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
