Abstract:Epithelioid inflammatory myofibroblastic sarcoma (EIMS) is a highly aggressive variant of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT). It is characterized immunohistologically by anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) overexpression and genetic rearrangements in selected cases.
