A pathological investigation was undertaken on a 7-year-old male American bully dog, brought to the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Dr G.C. Negi COVAS, Palampur to elucidate the possible causes of death, with the history of vomiting, polyuria, and anorexia. Serum biochemical estimation has revealed elevated levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine and glucose. On necropsy, the visceral organs were found pale, along with enlarged and deformed kidneys. Microscopically, the kidneys showed cellular swelling of the tubular epithelium, dilatation of the tubules, desquamation of the tubular epithelium, and presence of eosinophilic material along with mild fi brosis around the degenerated tubules.
