Cloning and characterization of a novel splice variant of humanU2AF1L3gene

Abstract: Pre-mRNA splicing allows individual genes to produce multiple protein isoforms with diverse functions. Recognition of functional splice sites in pre-mRNAs is very important in this splicing process and requires some protein auxiliary factors such as U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein auxiliary factor small subunit (U2AF35, encoded by U2AF1).
