Close neighbors of Markarian galaxies. I. Optical database

Abstract: The catalogue of close neighbors of Markarian galaxies located inside of circles with radii 60 kpc from the centers of Markarian objects is presented, which combines extensive new measurements of their optical parameters with a literature and database search. The measurements were made using images extracted from the Digitized Sky Survey (DSS) Jpg (blue), Fpg (red) and Ipg (near-infrared) band photographic plates. We provide names, accurate coordinates, redshifts, morphological types, blue, red and near-infrar… Show more

“…In our first paper of a series [36], we have reported the creation of the database of close neighbors of MRK galaxies, which contains extensive new measurements of their optical parameters, collected near-IR data, and pair properties. This is a second paper of a series and the outline is as follows: Sect.…”

“…In Petrosian et al (2007), homogeneously measured parameters of MRK galaxies are presented. Results of a close neighbors search for MRK galaxies are published in Nazaryan et al (2012). For the current study, the subsample of 217 pairs of galaxies containing at least one MRK galaxy is selected.…”

“…These catalogs are the following: (1) the catalog of Markarian (MRK) galaxies, (2) the Second Byurakan Survey (SBS) galaxies catalog, and (3) the North Galactic Pole (NGP) galaxy catalog. Results of a close neighbors search for MRK galaxies are published (Nazaryan et al 2012). We also conducted the search of neighbors for SBS and NGP galaxies using the same criteria.…”
