Abstract:Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) is defined as the presence of (1) peripheral blood eosinophilia >1.5 x 10 9 /L for at least one month, (2) evidence of eosinophil-mediated organ damage and/or dysfunction, and (3) exclusion of other potential causes of eosinophilia.
