“…This method is convenient and can be used for producing commercial gold supported catalysts (Haruta, 2003; Carabineiro and Thompson, 2007) and applied to the widest range of different support materials (Wolf and Schüth, 2002). It was discovered also by Haruta's group in 1991 (Tsubota et al, 1991) and is still widely used (Moreau et al, 2005; Sangeetha et al, 2009; Wei et al, 2010; Tran et al, 2011; Sanada et al, 2013; Soria et al, 2014; Zahoranova et al, 2015; Zamaro et al, 2015; Pérez et al, 2016; Priecel et al, 2016; Carabineiro et al, 2017; Chen B. “…But the introduction of catalytically active species into the cavities of these materials, as opposed to placing them on their external surface, presents certain difficulties, namely the lack of suitable cations or cationic complexes (Bond and Thompson, 1999). Nevertheless, different kinds of Au/zeolite systems have been prepared this way (Kang and Wan, 1995, 1997; Horvath et al, 2001; Chen et al, 2005; Magadzu et al, 2007; Tuzovskaya et al, 2007; Bogdanchikova et al, 2008; Sierraalta et al, 2008; Qi et al, 2012; Sanada et al, 2013; Zeng et al, 2014; Zamaro et al, 2015; Emayavaramban et al, 2016b; Chen B. “…Recently, reducible metal oxides (such as MnO x , CoO x , FeO x , CeO 2 , CuO x ) have been widely studied in heterogeneous catalysis reactions, which is mainly because of their variable valence states related to the variable occupancy of 3d or 4f orbitals. ,, Among them, manganese oxides show a possible double-exchange behavior between Mn 3+ and Mn 4+ and exhibit unique catalytic redox performance, and thus, Mn-based materials contain large amounts of surface active oxygen species, which has attracted much attention in investigations of the NO + CO model reaction and the CO oxidation reaction. ,, Thus, for example, Zou et al demonstrated that the good performance of their catalysts for CO oxidation was closely associated with their Mn contents.…”

“…In another way, the incorporation of cerium into the Au/Ce/Mordenite catalyst significantly increased the oxidation of CO, which reached 100% conversion at 125 °C (Qi et al, 2012). Likewise, manganese caused a similar effect on the Mn/Au/Mordenite catalyst, where the gold particles were smaller (2-15 nm) than those of a catalyst without manganese (7-50 nm) and most importantly, there was a considerable increase in the CO oxidation activity (Zamaro et al, 2015). However, there is a lack of information about the behavior of Au supported on the TiO 2 -HMOR zeolite as a potential catalyst for the CO oxidation reaction.…”
