“…According to XPS spectra of as-fabricated CPA and acid-CPA as shown in Figure 1, The C (1s) signal at 284.8 eV, O (1s) at 543.1 eV, Al (2s) at 121.2 eV and Al (2p) at 78 eV for investigated samples is well in agreement with references introduction [19][20][21][22][23] as shown in Figure 1 (a). Since XPS is sensitive to the surface components, the evidently enhanced O (1s), C (1s) Al (2s) and Al (2p) (Figure 1 (b), (c) and (d)) peaks intensity displayed by XPS spectroscopy imply that acid-treatment has roused the surface changes by introducing some groups and removing impurities.…”

“…The C1s of asfabricated CPA displays a maximum centered at 284.6 eV and the deconvoluted spectrum gave two peaks which can be confirmed to be sp 2 graphitic (C-C, C-H, at 285+0.2 eV) and sp 3 (-CO-, at 286.4 + 0.2 eV). Moreover, the deconvoluted spectrum of O 1s also indicate oxygen-functional groups such as -CO*OH (533.4 + 0.2 eV), -CO*H (532.1 + 0.2 eV) and -CO* (530.6 + 0.2 eV) and defects can be expected on as-fabricated CPA [19][20][21][22], namely the well-structured 3-dimensional nano-carbon networks in CPA were partly destructed by some groups and instinctive defects [19,20]. Figure 2 shows the Raman spectra of five samples excited by argon laser at 532.06 nm.…”

“…In case of the formation of CdSe QDs, a metallic precursor is first coordinated to the CNT surface followed by growing QD crystals [28,29]. Liquid phase deposition of CdS and CdSe from either aqueous or hydrocarbon solutions surfactants added also leads to QDs decorated CNTs [30][31][32]. There are in use several organic compounds, which produce bridges between CNTs and QDs.…”

“…Trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) is widely used as a coordinating solvent. In order to control the morphology of CdTe NCs, hexyl-, tetradecyl-, and octadecyl-phosphine acids are used as binding ligands to stabilize the NC growth [22][23][24], which is also used for the fabrication of other CdE (E = Se or S) NCs [25]. In shape and phase control fabrication of CdTe with branched architectures, researchers have found that phase control and switching are very important roles to achieve a branched shape [26,27].…”
