Abstract: The factors controlling performance of coatings are covered including film formation, flow, mechanical properties, exterior durability, adhesion and corrosion protection. Resins such as acrylics, acrylic and vinyl latexes, polyesters, amino resins, urethane resins, epoxy resin, drying oils, alkyd resins, silicon resins and derivatives, as well as a variety of more specialized resin are covered.
