“…[50] The enhanced hydrophilicity of Cu-doped Co(OH) 2 nanosheets made ionic species more accessible to the active sites. [51,52] Thus, OH À ions had a higher diffusion capacity on Cu-doped Co(OH) 2 nanosheets. The uptake of OH À ions can form more intermediates for urea dissociation.…”

“…The partially distorted cobalt surroundings caused by Cu dopant can reduce the adsorption energy of water, thermodynamically facilitated the adsorption of water molecules to the active sites [50] . The enhanced hydrophilicity of Cu‐doped Co(OH) 2 nanosheets made ionic species more accessible to the active sites [51,52] . Thus, OH − ions had a higher diffusion capacity on Cu‐doped Co(OH) 2 nanosheets.…”

“…The activation process was carried out in the two-electrode system in the aqueous solution of 0.1 M (NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 and 2 M NH 4 OH using carbon cloth as the anode and carbon rod as the cathode (a DC voltage of 10 V, 2 min). After the activation, the carbon cloth was thoroughly washed with water [ 94 ]. Another activation method of carbon cloth included mild chemical oxidation of raw carbon cloth pieces in an aqueous solution of 98% H 2 SO 4 and 70% HNO 3 acids at 70 °C for 24 h. After washing with copious amounts of water and drying, the carbon cloth pieces were transferred to a muffle furnace and calcined at 500 °C for 2 h under an air atmosphere [ 95 ].…”

“…Both types of research achieve greater than 90 % COD removal and have a lower energy demand. Carbon cloth is a cheap, flexible, and highly conductive textile, which can also be used to construct a stable three-dimensional (3D) flexible electrode [45][46][47].…”
