Abstract:We herein report a cobalt‐catalyzed intramolecular oxytrifluoromethylation of N‐allylamides for the efficient synthesis of trifluoromethyl‐containing oxazolines with Togni’s reagent II as the trifluoromethyl precursor. The protocol features mild reaction conditions and good functional group compatibility. Preliminary mechanistic investigations suggest the involvement of free radicals in this transformation.
