CoCam: A collaborative content sharing framework based on opportunistic P2P networking

Abstract: In this paper, we propose CoCam, a framework for mobile phones that enables uncoordinated real-time image and video collaboration between different users sharing the same context, in the same physical location. CoCam addresses the complexity and difficulty introduced when users wish to collaborate, create, and share media contents at the same time.CoCam is based on a middleware that creates a self-organizing ad-hoc network within the context of a shared event in a proximal physical space (a common scene). This… Show more

“…MobiClique [16] and a work from Rodriguez et al [18] propose modular middleware infrastructures that contain a full network/routing stack for exporting resources in mobile networks. CoCam [21] is a middleware infrastructure specialized in sharing persistent resources and real-time streams. This approach adopts a central coordination for managing group relationships of its peers.…”

“…Unprincipled CoT consumes extensive submission projections. For instance, for sharing collective-means fillings amid mobile customers by means of unprincipled associates [5] MIT Media Lab builds a scheme, called CoCam. Vehicular unprincipled systems must remain advanced [6] using the severe increasing of intellectual carriages.…”

“…ON does not require the full connectivity of the network and is more suitable for the actual requirements of a self-organizing network, which can meet the needs of network communications under bad conditions [3]. ON is one of the hot fields in network, and it is widely applied in many fields such as Location-based Service [4], Media Services [5], Mobile Data Offloading [6], and Intelligent Traffic [7] and so on.…”
