Abstract: SIRT4 comprises together with SIRT3 and SIRT5 the mitochondrially localized subgroup of sirtuins. SIRT4 regulates via its NAD+-dependent enzymatic activities mitochondrial bioenergetics, dynamics (mitochondrial fusion), and quality control (mitophagy).
