Abstract:We establish a link between certain Whittaker coefficients of the generalized metaplectic theta functions, first studied by Kazhdan and Patterson [14], and the coefficients of the stable Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series defined in [3]. The generalized theta functions are the residues of Eisenstein series on a metaplectic n-fold cover of the general linear group. For n sufficiently large, we consider different Whittaker coefficients for such a theta function which lie in the orbit of Hecke operators at a gi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
