Collaborative improvement of efficiency and noise of bionic vane centrifugal pump based on multi-objective optimization

Abstract: The hydraulic and acoustic performance of centrifugal pump is closely related to hydraulic structure parameters, and they are contradictory. In order to solve this contradiction, this paper introduces the pit bionic structure, and proposes an optimization method based on multi-objective test design and response surface to improve the hydraulic and acoustic performance. Taking the bionic vane pit diameter, axial spacing and radial spacing as design variables. Taking the maximum hydraulic efficiency and total so… Show more

“…The calculated values of the two sound sources within 1500 Hz are lower than the measured values. At the blade passing frequency and its octave, the calculated values of the noise are close to the measured values, which is consistent with the law obtained by Liu et al 18 The relative error increases with the increase in frequency. The primary reason for this phenomenon is that the influence of pipe resonance, motor operation, cavitation, and backflow inside the pump has not been considered in calculating field noise inside the centrifugal pump.…”

“…2.8 | Sound-structure coupling equation [23][24][25] As a widely used acoustic software, Actran software can quickly solve acoustic problems such as radiation, scattering and sealing of sound waves, propagation in pipes, convection effect, acoustic-vibration coupling and so on. Meanwhile, Actran software has excellent robustness, accuracy and operational efficiency.…”

“…At present, in the research involving multi-objective optimization of centrifugal pump using response surface method, several issues still need to be addressed. Firstly, there is no error between the quantitative response surface model and real value [30,31] . Additionally, there is a lack of comparative validation regarding the calculation accuracy of different turbulence models [32] .…”
