Abstract: Platelets play an important role in cardio- and cerebrovascular diseases. Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a highly lethal, atherosclerotic-related disease with characteristic features of progressive dilatation of the abdominal aorta and degradation of the vessel wall accompanied by chronic inflammation.
