Collective migration of solute caused by excited state absorptions

Abstract: We report our Z-scan verification that collective migration of chloroaluminum phthalocyanine dissolved in ethanol can be induced by a 19 picosecond laser pulse, but not by a 2.8 nanosecond pulse depositing more energy to the solute. We propose a microscopic model to explain this experimental result.
