Colonization with enterotoxigenic Bacteroides fragilis is associated with early-stage colorectal neoplasia

Abstract: BackgroundEnterotoxigenic Bacteroides fragilis (ETBF) is a toxin-producing bacteria thought to possibly promote colorectal carcinogenesis by modulating the mucosal immune response and inducing epithelial cell changes.
