Abstract:Although controlling the luster color of molecules that exhibit metallic luster using organic materials is highly desirable, achieving different luster colors requires substantial changes to the original molecular structure or an external stimulus. Structural changes alter the electronic state, resulting in notable changes in the physical properties beyond color. Color change prompted by external stimuli requires energy and is subject to limitations. Therefore, altering a material's color without modifying its… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
