Color-matching model of digital rotor spinning viscose mélange yarn based on the Kubelka–Munk theory

Abstract: The color-matching model is conducive to expanding the scope of application of colorful fabrics and can speed up the achievement of intelligent production. To solve the problem in which the existing color-matching system of intelligent colored spun yarn cannot be applied to the digital rotor-spinning products of dope dyed viscose fiber, 66 types of mélange yarn were spun with a digital rotor-spinning frame using red, yellow, and blue dope dyed viscose fibers at a ratio gradient of 10%. Furthermore, the knitted… Show more

“…Apparently, their results turn out to be good as no less than 0.97, and the mean, minimum, and maximum values of the sum of the squares due to errors of the fitted and original data (SSE) between the predicted results of FðC 1 ; R 1;mix Þ=R 1;mix on equation (7) and the measured ones are as low as 0.66, 0.09, and 1.44, respectively. Hence, we substituted it into formula (5) to form the new theorem for K-M transmission law where K denotes the monochromatic light (K ¼ R, G, B). Accordingly, the scattering powers of W/K training specimens were obtained by this method.…”

“…In recent years, blending yarn has been of wide interest because of its green ecological production process, 1,2 rich color layers, and hazy three-dimensional effects. [3][4][5] Hence, its quality control and technical design in color and mechanical properties played vital roles and were mainly determined by the masses of primary fibers in mixed fiber assemblies, 6,7 especially in the processing of supplied yarns or fabrics.…”

“…In the literature, Zhang and Xiong 28 proposed a method for color perception and recognition of Cantonese embroidery images based on a discrete mathematical model. In the literature, Yang and He 29 established a color matching model based on the Kubelka–Munk theory based on experimental results. In this section, we apply the proposed CPRM to fabric color perception and representation, and the data sets are collected from different types of fabric images.…”
